Hours: 2-3 Days per week
The Client Support Worker provides one on one, compassionate care and support for individuals facing unexpected pregnancies – including those exploring pregnancy options, navigating the challenges of parenting, or seeking support after an abortion, miscarriage, or other forms of pregnancy loss. This role involves client advocacy, program facilitation, community referrals, and coordinating material supports, all within a respectful, confidential, and values-driven environment.
They work under the supervision of the Client Services Director (CSD) or the Executive Director (ED).
Education and/or experience in a related field such as social work, counselling, occupational therapy, nursing, or psychology

Keep accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with organizational policies.
Participate in ongoing training and team meetings to ensure quality of care.
Provides direct support services for clients:
facilitate client intake and assessments
offer options information
arrange for client referrals and follow up appointments
Prays with and offers spiritual care for clients as they consent to, offering spiritual care referrals to local churches and other religious agencies as requested.
Facilitates programs with clients.
Arranges material supports for clients.
Maintains client care files and documentation.
Performs general client reception duties as required.
Assists with community awareness and/or fundraising events as needed.
Assists the CSD and ED as needed.
Participates in staff spiritual activities, such as devotions, team prayer time, and teaching as requested and encourages spiritual development among the team.

We are seeking a passionate and engaging Community Education Facilitator to deliver dynamic, interactive presentations to students in grades 7-12 on topics such as healthy relationships, decision-making, sexual integrity, personal value, and teen pregnancy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is gifted at teaching, working with students, and is passionate about making a positive impact in the community.
The THRIVE Program is a proactive educational initiative by First Place Options that promotes healthy relationships as part of a healthy lifestyle. Through engaging presentations, it equips youth with the tools to make informed choices about sexual health, boundaries, and relationships, while also educating parents, educators, and community leaders on how to support them.
Under the supervision of the executive director (ED), and in coordination with key centre personnel, the Community Education Coordinator is a position of Christian ministry and is responsible for the management, upkeep and delivery of the Community Education Program.

Experience working with youth or in an educational setting.
Strong public speaking and communication skills.
Comfortable discussing sensitive topics in an age-appropriate and respectful way.
Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (preferred).
Background in education, health care, social work, psychology, or related fields, or previous teaching experience preferred.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to relate to all sectors of the medical/professional community, general public, churches, and clients as a representative of First Place Options.
Administration: Capacity to effectively administer and coordinate the Community Education Program.
Conscientious: Pays keen attention to detail, ensuring practice complies with policy as well as applicable provincial education standards, and acts to enhance the quality of a professional and safe organizational reputation.

Works effectively with the ED and key centre personnel to assess, recommend, communicate, and promote centre services and community education presentations in light of First Place Options’ vision and mission.
Act as First Place’s contact for the schools, churches, and the community:
Connect and correspond with the representatives from the school or community to promote and schedule presentations.
Maintain accurate records of all completed workshops/presentations, participants, and evaluations for program/presenter evaluations and statistical purposes.
Order and maintain any supplies needed.
Regularly attend and participate in First Place’s team meetings, team building, fundraising and donor events
Remain current on First Place Options programs and services.
Remain current on community programs and services.
Remain current on local and national statistics and evidence-based research available from health providers and governments relating to STBBIs, pregnancy, adoption services, abortions, sexual assault, date rape, pornography, etc.
Ensure all presentation materials are sourced by the most current and relevant research.
Ensure that all presentations align with First Place’s mission, vision and values.
Deliver effective presentations in schools, churches, and community groups
Speak in school, church and community group settings to promote the program to teachers, parents, and community settings.
